Self Care & COVID-19
How is everyone taking care of themselves during COVID-19?
Trying my best!
It's hard to find time, but I am trying my best. I've tried baking more with kids and getting outside for breaks since the weather has been beautiful. I've also been trying to do some yoga and/or mediation to keep stress levels down.
Self-care is hard most days, but it has been interesting finding a new balance with social distancing and quarantine being the new norm. Things that I might have sought out for self-care pre-COVID-19 are not options right now. I think my creativity has been put to the test and I have learned to appreciate new things, like playing with my dog, taking pictures of my sleepy cat, spending time outside (when the weather cooperates), and dedicating time to have home-based date nights with my wife. The first few weeks were a challenge to adjust, but lately, I feel like I have really gotten to a good place and am enjoying the time I have to do things I couldn't before.
